This was taken from a whale-watching boat leaving Port Townsend, Washington almost a year ago. The captain was kind enough to circle once for all of us avid photographers! It was a cold, gray day, but the red of the channel marker (Raf, correct my terminology if needed, please!) helps make it pop. They look like cormorants, the birds io am always trying to photograph, my critter last week. It's a very atmospheric shot like this. Really like this.
Wow this is neat how in the world did that thing get up on the buoy, looked like it would of been quite a jump to get up there. Great catch
